What is Urgent Care?

Urgent Care is designed to support, not replace, your family physician.

It is one of out top priorities to keep your primary care physician informed whenever care is rendered at our facility.
The idea behind Urgent Care is to allow you access to care for problems that would normally be attended to in your primary care physician's office - after the normal hours of operation.

Does Urgent Care Replace Emergency Room Visits?

Although we will see semi-emergent problems, urgent care is not intended to replace the emergency room for true emergencies.

Instead, we hope to tend to those problems which can be taken care of urgently with out the prolonged wait of an emergency room.

Who Will I See When I Use Urgent Care?
Our facility is staffed by Family Medicine Physicians, Internists and Nurse Practitioners. These are all people who live and practice medicine in our community, with established practices and experience.

What Services and Treatments
Can I Expect to Receive at Urgent Care?
Sometimes a patient will require Urgent Care when their physician is unavailable, during evenings, and/or on weekends. Urgent Care is a sensible alternative to emergency room for minor illnesses or injuries that don't require the expense of emergency room care.
