What is a chiropractic adjustment?
A. Chiropractic adjustments
are only given by a licensed and trained chiropractor
to add motion to spinal joints that aren’t moving
right, or subluxated.
A quick thrust is usually the method to adjust the spine.
However, several techniques use low force to achieve
the desired result. Chiropractic adjustments usually
are delivered by the doctor’s hands, an instrument
or a special table that has sections that move to assist
in the adjustment.
Many people attempt to “adjust” themselves,
which can cause serious injury and therefore should
be avoided. Chiropractors go through several years of
schooling to master the art of spinal adjusting.
